A Rally Day Kick-Off to “Music At St. John’s”
The Agape Ringers in Concert

Agape RingerSunday, September 13th is the day St. John’s has set aside to rally our enthusiasm and renew our commitment to worship, study, prayer, and the work of ministry our Lord Jesus has called us to do together as members of His Church.

One of the ministries we will kick off on this day will be our annual music and festival worship series, “Music At St. John’s.” Our first event of the season will be a concert performed by The Agape Ringers, a Chicago-based, world renown handbell ensemble. The concert begins at 4:00pm.

Under the direction of David L. Weck, The Agape Ringers have dazzled audiences across the U.S. and abroad. This sixteen member ensemble, comprised of musicians from various communities in Illinois and Wisconsin, captivate audiences with their dexterity, finesse and grace as they make delightful music with 75 bronze handbells and 73 aluminum handchime instruments. Their repertoire is sure to engage an audience of all ages.

Tickets will be sold at $10.00 for adults, but because we want to encourage families to attend, all children and youth under 18 years of age are free! Childcare will be available for infants and younger children, if desired. A reception will immediately follow the concert. For more information or to purchase tickets in advance, contact the church office at 708-354-1690. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.

The activities scheduled for the day, including morning worship, “Bike the Boulevard” bicycle tour, a “prayer walk” and an afternoon concert make Sunday, September 13th a great family day. Mark your calendars and plan to enjoy it with your immediate family as well as your family at St. John’s. Don’t forget that this is also an opportunity to extend our family, so please invite your friends and neighbors.
